Calm, Collected, and Fully Cite-Checked

Hi, I’m Emily—the person behind Docket & Draft.

I’m a litigation paralegal with a soft spot for clean formatting, well-placed commas, and citations that actually hold up under scrutiny. If there’s a typo hiding in your brief or a citation that doesn’t quite land, I will find it. Probably faster than you’d like.

I’ve spent the last eight-plus years supporting attorneys across federal and state courts throughout the American West—drafting, editing, cite-checking, organizing, and generally making sure things are actually ready before they’re filed. My background includes everything from complex litigation support to wrangling massive administrative records and turning them into something usable.

What I’m really good at

  • Turning rough drafts into polished, court-ready documents

  • Bluebook cite-checking (yes, I genuinely enjoy it)

  • Catching the small things that make a big difference

  • Bringing order to chaotic case files

  • Making your life easier before a deadline

🧠 Why Docket & Draft exists

Because “almost ready” isn’t ready.

And because attorneys shouldn’t have to spend their time fixing formatting, double-checking citations, or wondering if something got missed.

Docket & Draft is built for the behind-the-scenes work—the final pass, the second set of eyes, the quiet confidence that everything is exactly where it should be.

🌿 A little more about me

Outside of legal work, you’ll usually find me somewhere in the West—hiking, biking, or traveling with my dogs. My background in conservation biology, paired with a degree in English and a paralegal certificate, probably explains why I care so much about both the big picture and the smallest details.

Also, I will absolutely judge a document by its formatting.

📬 Let’s work together

If you’re looking for someone who is detail-obsessed (in a helpful way), reliable, and genuinely cares about the quality of your work product—I’d love to help.

I read the footnotes so you don’t have to.

A woman with long brown hair, blue eyes, and a bright smile, wearing a black blazer and white shirt, in an indoor setting with blurred background.
A woman with long red hair, wearing a gray knit hat and a blue puffer jacket, smiling and sitting inside a vehicle with two dogs, one on her lap and a small dog on a sofa behind her, with a blurred outdoor landscape visible through the windows.
A woman with sunglasses smiling and holding a black and white dog, both facing each other, in a desert landscape with colorful rock formations in the background under a clear blue sky.
